Plagiarism

Educator Development Journal (EDJ) recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable in academic publishing. Therefore, the journal has established the following policy to specify the actions and sanctions applicable when plagiarism or excessive textual similarity is identified in manuscripts submitted for publication.

Educator Development Journal (EDJ) uses Turnitin originality-checking software to assess the textual similarity of submitted manuscripts. The similarity check is conducted as part of the editorial screening process to help ensure the originality and academic integrity of manuscripts prior to publication.

The maximum permissible similarity index for submitted manuscripts is 30%. If a manuscript exceeds this threshold, it will be returned to the author(s) for revision and resubmission. The revised manuscript must address the identified similarities and comply with the journal’s plagiarism policy before it can proceed to the next stage of the editorial process.
