Publication Ethics
Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan (FTK), UIN Ar-Raniry is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing all forms of publication malpractice, including plagiarism. Therefore, it is essential that all parties involved in the publication process—including the publisher, authors, editors, and reviewers—adhere to ethical standards to foster a responsible academic environment and avoid conflicts of interest that may arise during the publication process.
Author Ethics
The authorship of a manuscript should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception or design of the research, data collection, data analysis, or interpretation of the reported study. All individuals who have made substantial contributions should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the authorship information and must confirm that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript prior to publication.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for submitting original research free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or any other form of academic misconduct. They must not copy or paraphrase substantial parts of another author's work without proper attribution or permission. Authors should ensure that the submitted manuscript is entirely their own original work.
Authors are required to comply with the peer-review process established by Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa FTK. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not be under consideration or accepted for publication elsewhere. If any part of the research has been previously published, the original source must be properly acknowledged and cited. Appropriate citations and permissions must also be obtained whenever authors reproduce data, figures, tables, or other materials from previously published sources.
Editorial Responsibilities
The editors of Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa FTK are responsible for making publication decisions based on the academic merit, originality, and intellectual quality of submitted manuscripts. Editorial decisions must be made without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality, political affiliation, or geographical background of the authors.
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information regarding a submission to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, prospective reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the quality of the journal by providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Their comments assist both the authors in improving their manuscripts and the editors in making publication decisions.
Reviewers should notify the editor if they identify substantial similarities between the manuscript under review and any previously published or submitted work. They must avoid any conflicts of interest related to the research, the authors, or the funding sources. Furthermore, reviewers are required to treat all manuscripts and related information as confidential and must not use or disclose any unpublished information obtained through the peer-review process.
