Curcumin is an active compound derived from turmeric (Curcuma longa) that exhibits a wide range of biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-angiogenic properties. This literature review aims to examine the effects of curcumin on the morphogenesis and organogenesis of chicken (Gallus gallus) embryos, based on ten scientifically reviewed studies. The findings indicate that curcumin exerts dose-dependent effects: at low doses, it tends to be protective, whereas at high doses, it can inhibit angiogenesis, reduce VEGF expression, and cause morphological abnormalities in organs such as the brain, heart, and vascular system. Curcumin has also been shown to ameliorate the condition of embryos subjected to oxidative and thermal stress.
